Ohio- December 2015

This was another spur of the moment short trip (be prepared for several of those). We decided we were bored enough to hit the road to Ohio to knock two more presidential gravesites off our list!

We joked about how many towns we passed by made it sound like we were in Europe! Our first stop was in North Bend, Ohio to visit the grave of President William Henry Harrison. Although he wasn't president for long, he definitely held some records for the time! He was the oldest president to be elected at the time, the first to die in office, and the shortest tenure in presidential history! Many know Harrison as living in Indiana, but he moved to Ohio later in life and was buried there.

We then continued on to the memorial of President Warren G. Harding in Marion, Ohio. Harding was infamously known for the number of scandals during his time in office. Harding also died while in office. For a president who was surrounded by controversy, he has a surprisingly massive monument built for his burial site.

Getting our tasks accomplished, we're heading home! Unfortunately, my tire blew out on the interstate on the way home! We got the donut on and had to drive back on it for the 5+ hours home! We made it though!
