Now that all of the wedding planning and festivities are over, it's time to relax! Of course us being the nerds that we are, we had to pick Hogwarts for our honeymoon! This was Evan's first time on a plane!
For this visit, we stayed at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal. This place was amazing! The building itself was beautiful. There was a mini beach area with volleyball, a boat taxi to take people directly to the parks, and lots of trails to walk along.
We had both been to Universal Studios before (in March 2007 for Evan's senior trip, years before we started dating). Now we were making our own memories! We absolutely loved the Jurassic Park and The Mummy rides! I found an Irish shop, where I bought a claddagh ring. We also found a genealogy shop. We bought a paper with both of our 'family crests' on it. We bought a popcorn bucket that had refills for $1! I ate many popcorn meals!
We spend a day in the middle of the week at Sea World. We absolutely loved seeing the orcas in their finale show for the day. Some of the rides weren't working, but we were glad we were there for the experience.
We ate at places like the Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump's, Panda Express, and our absolute favorite, The Cowfish, a sushi/burger blend!
We spent an evening along the boardwalk, shopping and playing mini golf. While in line for one of the rides, we realized we were standing behind WWE Superstar Paige! Of course we had to buy the photo from the ride to prove we were with her!
Above all else, our favorite was visiting Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade! The details in this area of the park were absolutely amazing! The change in scenery when walking into Diagon Alley was just breathtaking! We had so much fun! We bought a few wands and other souvenirs. We spent the week performing spells with our wands throughout the parks. Evan discovered his love for butterbeer- cold, warm, frozen, and ice cream!
